Preparations

In addition to the booking with Boa Lingua I already took care of the flight. The flight down is already clear, as I mentioned in my first post. But the flight back I can change for free. If I want to stay there a bit longer, I can do it, and I also will visit Sydney, because the flight will make a stopover there.
I also looked after a possibility to play my Tenor Horn down under. I found a Brass Band in Nelson and I will play with them at the West Coast Brass Band Contest (Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25). Unfortunately the Band will not be participating at the Nationals this year, but there will surely be a possibility to go hearing some bands with other people from Nelson City Brass Band. At this contest I will also participate at the slow melody competition. And perhaps we'll play with a simple quintet, Andrew Clark, my contact from the band, asked me for it. So I think I'll be in good hands, also because Andrew offered me help, if I have some problems.
Yesterday I received the information about my host family in New Zealand. They live outside the town and the way to school is about four kilometer (ten minutes by bus or twenty by bicycle).
You can see the two places and the bandroom on the map: A) My home B) School C) Brass Band Bandroom
